Kate de la Grense
A Senior Legal and Business Affairs Executive, Kate is a qualified lawyer specialising in media and film law. Prior to joining Aramid, Kate spent almost 5 years training and practising at law firm Reed Smith Richards Butler.
Kate has represented film finance banks such as Bank of Ireland, Barclays, RBS and other debt lenders on single picture, cross border gap and presale financings, as well as advising on lending against the UK film tax credit. Kate has been involved in tax efficient structured finance transactions with major Hollywood studios.
Kate also has legal expertise in film and television production, having advised studios such as Universal Pictures as well as independent production companies on cast and crew contracts, chain of title documentation, location agreements and all other aspects of production work. Kate has advised broadcasters such as the BBC and MTV and spent time on secondment to Channel 4.
Kate has a Law and French Law degree from the University of Birmingham and completed her Legal Practice Course at Nottingham Law School with distinction.
