A number of local and national governments around the world have introduced a form of tax credit or rebate for the purpose of encouraging producers to bring film or television projects to a particular jurisdiction.

These markets include the United Kingdom (with effect from 1st April 2006 for new qualifying films), Germany (from 1st January 2007), Australia, Canada, South Africa, Luxembourg and such U.S. states as Louisiana, Georgia, Massachusetts, New Mexico, Connecticut, Arizona, Rhode Island, Illinois, New York and several others (with others announced as forthcoming).

Typically the precise value of these credits or rebates can only be calculated and settled once filming (and, in some cases, post-production) is complete, any required audits have been performed and other procedures and protocols have been followed.

Aramid Capital Partners sources projects on behalf of The Aramid Entertainment Fund that require advance liquidity for producers who expect to generate such tax credits but are in need of funding sooner.
